The Story Behind Yassmina

Yassmina Collection is a Turkey-based modest fashion brand founded in 2019 by Egyptian designer Yassmin Ashour.

Shaped by a multicultural journey across Egypt, Thailand, and Turkey, the brand reflects a vision of modest fashion that transcends borders combining elegance, quality, and cultural harmony in every design.

From its beginnings, the goal was clear: to create refined, high-quality modest wear that respects Islamic values while remaining modern, versatile, and globally relevant.

The Beginning

Where Cultures Meet, A Vision Begins

Yassmina Collection was born from a deeply personal journey that began in Thailand a place where cultures, fabrics, and modest fashion styles naturally intersect.

Living as an Arab woman in an Asian environment introduced a new perspective on modest dressing.

While traditional Malaysian and Asian modest wear had its own beauty, finding pieces that truly reflected both identity and elegance wasn’t always easy.

This experience sparked a passion: to create modest fashion that bridges cultures rather than representing just one. Designs that carry the refinement of Arab elegance, the softness of Asian influence, and a universal sense of timeless modesty.

During those years, the journey began quietly selecting fabrics, designing personal pieces, experimenting with textures, and developing a deeper connection with materials and craftsmanship. It wasn’t about starting a brand yet; it was about discovering a voice in fashion.

The Journey

The journey deepened when Yassmina moved to Turkey a place rich in textile heritage, craftsmanship, and fashion culture. The world of fabrics expanded in new ways, introducing refined Turkish aesthetics that naturally blended with the Asian influences she had experienced in Thailand and her Arab roots.

This cultural fusion gradually shaped a unique design language one that doesn’t belong to a single tradition, but instead celebrates modest fashion as a universal expression of elegance.

Studying fashion design in Turkey marked a turning point. Beyond academic learning, the journey extended into factories, textile markets, and hands-on exploration of fabrics, textures, and production techniques. Understanding materials closely became essential from fiber composition to finishing details building a deep appreciation for quality and craftsmanship.

From there, Yassmina Collection officially began. The foundation was clear from day one
